Wales School House in Winter Grades 1-8 for Children and Adults In the early 1900s families living along the Blackfoot River hired a school teach- er and brought education to the ranch. In those days most adults did not complete the 8th grade. Education was a luxury. Students walked, rode in buggies, or came on horse- back bringing their lunch and possibly an apple for the teacher.
